It’s the most wonderful time of the year! Om alvast in de kerstsferen te komen, luisteren we weer massaal naar onze favoriete Christmas Songs op Spotify. Maar welke nummers zijn het populairste in Nederland en wereldwijd? We zetten alle kersthits op een rij.
Op nummer 1 staat dit jaar wereldwijd én in Nederland de ongeëvenaarde koningin van de kerstmuziek: Mariah Carey. “All I Want for Christmas is You’ heeft heeft onlangs 1 miljard(!) streams op Spotify bereikt. Ook in Nederland is het onmogelijk om Mariah Carey van haar troon te stoten. Op nummer 2 en 3 staan Wham! met ‘Last Christmas’ en Ariana Grande met ‘Santa Tell Me’.
Wel zijn we dit jaar in Nederland 18% minder naar kerstmuziek gaan luisteren ten opzichte van 2020. De dag dat we de meeste kerstmuziek hebben aangeklikt was 28 november 2021. We hebben in Nederland op die dag naar meer dan 5,3 miljoen kerstliedjes geluisterd.
